Hubert contracted me by email to ask if I could make this special guitar gift for his friend, Dave Bayley of the Glass Animals band. He wanted several images included in the design. First, the images of the four band members from their album cover, The words "Glass Animals", a VHS, a gummy bear, a cereal bowl and a pineapple. OK. This presented a challenge, But I rather like a challenge. So I managed to include the VHS and gummy bear in the pick guard engraving, the cereal bowl carved into the body below the boys' heads and I think the pineapple makes a very interesting peghead.
The body is made of alder wood. The neck is maple with a rosewood board from Warmoth, pickups are "li'l Killer" humbuckers from GFS hooked up through a a "Super Strat" system of switches also from GFS. I love playing this one. It looks, plays and sounds spectacular!
