Conor sent me this swamp ash Jazz Master body about 4 years before we actually decided to start work on this piece. Then, sometime later, he sent the beautiful walnut neck from Warmoth. A few years later he decided he wanted a Buddhist design and we began.
He liked the tree treatment on my Pumpkin Patch and Goth SG's. But wanted it a little more like a bodhi tree and maybe a bit more Daliesque. I suggested the Buddha head in the trunk and he went along with that. He wanted a simple OM symbol on the pickguard, a quote from the Dali Lama on the back and a Buddhist wheel on the head stock. Completed August 4, 2015. Sweet piece, I think.
