Tainted DickMen-Lucy contacted me on-line to see about having me make a copy of my original WANGCASTER guitar.
I said what I always say to clients requesting a Wangcaster. It's not a very good guitar. it's uncomfortable to play. It doesn't hang well from a strap and almost impossible to play on your knee. I've already made one and I'm not interested in making another copy. If you really must have one, I'll make it for a lot of money. A lot of money for a gag instrument... you could buy 3 pretty good guitars for that.
TDM-Lucy didn't care. Lucy had to have this guitar. So I started building the alder body and ordered the maple neck from warmoth, and some hardware from Stew-Mac. The pickups are a hand wired, over-wound set from Guitarfetish.com. I changed the design a bit from the original to make it more ballsy and allow the strap pins to be straight perpenDICKular. And... well... actually this bad boy screams!! It's a kick-ass instrument. I still don't care to make another one. But this one rocks... totally tainted..
